Honsou Gaming

The game is not out yet but some tournaments are being ran and giving out moderate amounts of cash as the top prize. SC2 would always be a very competitive game, but these kind of tournaments so soon is a sign of things to come.

Is it a good or a bad thing? Its hard not to see why it would be so good. Maybe people will not like that the game they are playing for fun, other people are playing for money. Perhaps a good solution would be to get good enough to take part in the tournaments. SC2 will be a great, enjoyable and fun game when it comes out, but it can also cater for the hardcore competitive, always learning to micro and macro better (mouse skillz and economy skillz) and climb that ranking ladder. I have no chance of attending such tournaments, but I could at least write something about how to get there. Everyone learns the same way but only a few people will grasp the intricacy of the game and get very good.

So, what could I do to help? Getting good takes practice, alot of time and patience at the keyboard and mouse, repetitively clicking and sitting in the same position for hours and hours till RSI kicks in and you cant play no more. I wanted to expand my RSI article and SC2 is giving me a good excuse to do it. I would like to get good at SC2, but I know without some of the treatments and techniques of managing repetitive strain injury I would be very limited in the amount of game time I would have. SC2 is very clicky, and sooner or later alot of people will form some kind of discomfort in their hands and fingers (or that right hand index finger, from gaming of course).

Hopefully in the next week I will hammer out the new article with pictures, (badly drawn pictures if I have to) to manage and prevent pain from gaming intensively on PC games.
